Considering the typefaces used


I think the type style does complement the illustrator because, the illustrations are simplistic and playful as well as the text.

The design of the type looks like it's hand rendered and it enhances the story by working together to create that story.

One spread I think works well is when the type transforms into a bold, expanded, in your face type to express the mood of the character, also to top it off an outline is drawn around each letter to further portray the frustration of the character.
